I rarely post comments because they mostly end up as being WOW! Your artwork always ends up being first rate and making me wish I could draw like that. I really look forward to seeing the ink and color on this one. I'm hoping that some day I can afford to get a commission from you.
I love the armor, and people should realize thats anatomys relevant. Human beings have diffrent arm lengths compared to there respective body's. In particular women tend to have shorter arms then men and a girlie like this with such shapely lower body, actually creats a balance.
In-short i have seen gilrs with not so long NBA arms LOL XD My wife actually has a shape like this.
Anywayz enough of the analyzing, this is a cool sketch here
I dont think the arms look bad at all. If anything the slightly shorter arms make her hips and chest look more impressive despite being smaller than some of your work. Which i like. Another great sketch.
REIQ, LOVE the design, however.... why not draw more characters with smaller breaxts? I think it would be a nice change in your artwork and put a different spin on things. Your art would look more serious with smaller boobs I think. Thats just my opinion though.
Well you see, you make the breasts look so large, that they appear "unreal". In general society, I would say that woman mainly have medium to small sized breasts, and not massive oversized ones (There are ladies with big boobs, but they are more of an exception in my mind). In a way your art has a SD or super-deformed style to it concerning the breasts. If you created a set of female characters with smaller breasts, I think people would take your art more seriously, because it would look more character orientated and less sexually tinted and overtly sexual - my opinion, hope it makes sense.
And if I make tem too small I'll be tagged as a lolicon I understand you point of view and I've done girl with small breast actually this drawing have regular size. You have to see what a corset do the anatomy.
I was just saying... compared to his other work I've seen more references being used there than this.
... and I've seen better costume designs on DA by artists with less calibre. Reiq is no doubt a great artist, but as I'm trying to point out -- the costume design department can use a bit of improvement, though it's not really something he prides himself upon either.
I'm not trying to make comparisons, and I'm not trying to speak for myself either -- just my two cents of critical critique ; )
