Devon doesn’t know if this is the last thing he does. But he doesn’t care anymore. Tao has been wounded, and may be dead. The one person who had begun to fill the void in his heart, might be lying dead on the ground. And he never told her how he felt. His rage, and frustration are unleashed upon the brutish warlord Kirus, but will it help?
Devon is usually such a happy-go-lucky character. Quick with a joke or poorly worded pun, Devon is everyone’s best friend. I wanted to capture the side of him that is passionate. The darker side of him that shows what he is willing to sacrifice when it matters; the grim iron resolve and gritty determination that Devon is capable of.
But since Tao is unconscious, and Kirus won’t likely tell anyone, he can still deny he has a serious side.
